The Road I Traveled

A wall hanging depicting a journey

This quilted wall hanging was conceived in a class called Visual Poetry”. It was inspired by “The Path Not Taken” by Robert Frost. It depicts in stitches by journey after the death of my husband in 1991 to the goal of a new life. That goal was also inspired by Scott Peck’s “Road Less Traveled”.  It took several years to get through the turmoil of the grey months and underwent several revision before it was finished in 2010. "I took the path less traveled by and that has made all the difference." It brought me to  the new growth and sunny sky at the top of the quilt.

Size is 29" by 43". It has a sleeve on the back to put a rod through for hanging.:
